About Alison

Alison Case is a family medicine physician and currently is completing a fellowship in advanced maternal care, addiction in pregnancy, and family planning at the University of New Mexico. Alison first became involved in activism through the American Medical Student Association (AMSA) where she was involved with advocacy around global AIDS funding, access to medicines, and harm reduction. She worked as a fellow with AMSA for one year after medical school advocating for progressive policies on capitol hill and organizing grassroots campaigns with medical students across the country. She is originally from the Midwest, and hopes to eventually return there to continue work in reproductive justice and maternity care.

About Indigenous Women Rising

Indigenous Women Rising creates the space for us as Indigenous people to tell our own stories and create our own solutions on our terms as an act of resistance, self love, and love for our ancestors and family. We are reclaiming what colonialism has tried to strip from us: bodily autonomy, identity, culture, tradition, and language.
