Elevating Border Voices

At the ACLU of New Mexico Regional Center for Border Rights, we strive to center the voices of the poeple who are most effected by border militarization in all of our work. We want to tell the stories of the border residents who experience discrimination in Border Patrol checkpoints because of their accent or how they look. We want to provide a platform for families that have been torn apart and devestated by our inhumane immigration policies. We want to ensure that the families members whose loved ones have been injured and killed by border agents are heard loud and clear when the call for increased oversight and accountability of border enforcement agencies.
