We’ve seen what sitting on the sidelines can do. Democracy requires us to stand up for our rights, not just at the ballot box, but out in the streets and in the halls of the legislature.

Join the ACLU of New Mexico on Monday, October 29 for an activism training on criminal justice and reproductive rights at the Holy Family American National Catholic Church in Las Cruces. You’ll learn how to advance both reproductive rights and criminal justice reform priorities with cutting edge New Mexico research that shows the best way to have persuasive conversations on these topics. We’ll also touch on other key civil liberties hot spots, like immigration and voting rights.

Your engagement is vital for doing the hard work of winning the hearts and minds of candidates and their campaign staff to support the ACLU-NM’s vision for the state of New Mexico. Having these conversations with candidates now will help ensure that we have a successful legislative session in 2019. At the in-person trainings, dinner and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided.

We look forward to seeing you there!
