The ACLU of New Mexico just wrapped up a historic and successful legislative session, however the fight continues to ensure that all New Mexicans are protected from discrimination and civil rights abuses.

It's particularly important that we provide a space for our state's border communities to be able to share with us their stories and concerns about life in a region that is consistently under attack by the Trump administration. These community meetings will serve as listening sessions for us to hear from you about what next steps you hope the ACLU of New Mexico will take in protecting and supporting border communities.

We will kick off the meeting with a quick recap of our victories and losses during the legislative session and then hand it off to community members to lead the conversation about what kinds of polices and tactics you hope to see during the interim session this summer and during the 2020 legislative session. ACLU organizers will be moderating the conversation and taking note of all suggestions, feedback, questions, and stories that attendees wish to share.

Our expectation is that these community meetings will be a productive way for us to hear what you have to say in order to best shape our advocacy strategy for the future. We hope you can join us!

  • We will be providing dinner for all who attend, so please make sure to RSVP everyone who will be attending with you.
  • Porfavor haganos saber si necesita traducción en Español durante la junta.
