Jazmyn Taitingfong is a Reproductive Rights and Gender Equity Attorney at the ACLU of New Mexico. She believes Reproductive Rights are Human Rights and that the care associated with them should be safe and accessible to all without barriers or limitations. This belief has, and continues to, inform her legal practice.
Before working with the ACLU, she represented children ensnared in the criminal system in Phoenix with the Maricopa County Office of the Public Advocate and in Prince George’s County with the Maryland Office of the Public Defender. In addition to her work as a Public Defender, she practiced as an attorney for Disability Rights Arizona, ensuring equal access to healthcare and public accommodations.
She earned her BA in Psychology from the University of Arizona. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School where she held several leadership positions, serving as the President of the Mock Trial Team, President of Q-Law (LBTQ Student Organization), and Vice President of Law Students for Reproductive Justice.
