Carpenter, Stout and Ransom, Ltd. was founded by William H. Carpenter in 1968. Mr. Carpenter has been a New Mexico trial lawyer for thirty years, and is a recognized specialist in personal injury, products liability, and trial advocacy. David Stout joined the firm in 1987. Mr. Stout has over twenty years of civil trial experience, was the chair of the New Mexico Supreme Court committee on Uniform Civil Jury Instruction and is a member of the American Law Institute. Richard Ransom joined the firm in 2005. Mr. Ransom is a former Chief Justice of the New Mexico Supreme Court, and has thirty years of civil trial experience and was also lead counsel in cases establishing the New Mexico law of products liability and toxic torts. The firm's lawyers handle a broad range of civil litigation including products liability, automobile accidents, general negligence, personal injuries, unfair insurance practices and bad faith.
