The American Civil Liberties Union of New Mexico (ACLU-NM) is seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Development Assistant to support our growing Development Department. The Development Department is responsible for raising $4M+ annually through individual and institutional contributions and maintaining and strengthening the organization’s relationships with its supporters and members.
The Development Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Development department, including donor database management, gift processing and acknowledgment, report generation, financial records reconciliation, mailing list management, and frontline donor communications. This position reports directly to and under the supervision of the Development Operations Manager.
This job requires close attention to detail, accuracy, and donor confidentiality. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with data, and committed to providing accurate and timely support. This is a part-time, benefits-eligible, non-exempt position (minimum of 20 hours per week) based in Albuquerque, NM. During calendar year-end, annual fundraisers, and our fiscal year-end, the job may require up to 40 hours per week.

The ACLU of New Mexico has offices in Albuquerque, Las Cruces, and Santa Fe and maintains a flexible hybrid work environment to best support the needs of our staff and the work. Most employees work from the office an average of 4-12 hours per week.

This is a part-time benefits eligible non-exempt position with a pay range of $21.91 to $29.65 per hour depending on experience. We offer excellent benefits, including employer-paid health, dental and vision insurance for employees; long-term disability and life insurance; 401(k) retirement plan with an employer contribution and match of up to 5.5%; and vacation accrual that starts at 18 days per year in addition to sick leave and family and medical leave.
