• Banning Invasive Internet Sweeps: Online companies amass vast troves of sensitive personal data about each of us through our internet activitie which enables discriminatory practices.
• Banning the Use of Untrustworthy Facial Recognition Technology: All New Mexicans deserve to live their daily lives free from government surveillance and wrongful arrests.
• Requiring Menstrual Products Be Provided to Incarcerated People: New Mexico must catch up to the federal system and 13 other states in passing a policy to stock and distribute products like pads and tampons.
• Protecting Privacy from Mass Surveillance: This legislation seeks to ensure that, absent a warrant, ALPR records of where New Mexicans who are not suspected of a crime are deleted within thirty (30) days.

We need your help! Throughout the legislative session until the bill signing period on April 11, we will send e-mails to volunteers about the legislation we are working on and seek help from people like you to testify in committee hearings and make phone calls to lawmakers. We will provide stipends for those traveling to Santa Fe to testify in committee hearings.
