Join Us: Domestic Partnership Advocacy Trainings
Join the ACLU of New Mexico and the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) for advocacy trainings in New Mexico to pass domestic partnership legislation in 2009. We invite community members, public officials, religious and organization leaders, and parents of LGBT children to come to the training and to actively participate in the campaign.
Participants will learn the ins and outs of communications strategy, talking points, media interviews, and the power of telling their story.

Communications work, like lobbying or door knocking, involves strategy that can move public opinion about issues to accomplish a goal. These advocacy trainings will give you the resources you need to speak up about domestic partnership to move public opinion and win domestic partnership for all New Mexicans.
